Late nights… Early mornings… And a heart full of anticipation that something beautiful on the horizon… It amazes me that life can look one way in the natural, and yet, I’m able to feel a quiet calm in my spirit that everything is coming together for the good. They say that the cells in your body react to everything your mind says, and that negativity brings down your immune system. So today, I’m going to intentionally push past any doubts, fears, negativity, offenses and be intentional about how I speak to myself. One of my all-time favorite quotes from Oprah’s Life You Want Tour is this– If you are who you say you are, then who are you saying you are? After all this time, I can, literally, still hear the raspy voice of the Soul Cylcle instructor yelling that to us. Buy-in is everything. Remember whose you are, and what you’re believing for. Have a great day you guys! Peace, Love & Sunshine ~ Chels

Coffey Break Chat: What To Wear Ep. 1 || Dress Staples
Hey guys!
Today is a big day! It marks the launch of my very first What To Wear Coffey Break Chat video blog. I don’t know about you guys, but I do most of my shopping on the weekends, so I wanted to start putting together videos to assist with what to look for while you’re out and about!
This first episode is all about everyday dress staples. I’m really big on building a solid wardrobe. You can’t leave the house busted if everything you have is fab! Am I right? 😉
I’ll be doing quite a few of these so feel free to leave any requests in the comments below. The vlogs I have in mind so far are; corporate office looks, date night looks, winter layer looks and comfy casual afterwork attire! This is going to be good. So looking forward to building with you!
Enjoy!

LOOK OF THE DAY 10.2.2013

Like Water for Chocolate
With the exception of a quick run to tutor one of my favorite fourth graders and stop by the grocery store to get flour for my oatmeal raisin cookies, was a working from home on my laptop kinda day. This look had just enough going on to send me out the door with a little pep in my step. I’m a big believer in dressing beyond your mood, so whether you’re feeling on top of the world or down in the dumps, I always remind myself that a little bit goes a long way.
Actually, In all honesty, it wasn’t so much the outfit that did it for me (obviously haha) So, Lauren London is now a character on BET’s hit show The Game, and from the moment she entered the scene in a recent episode, I knew that the lipstick she was wearing had to have been Ruby Woo! Kudos to Mac for doing such a fantastic job designing that stunning shade of red with a hint of blue. The only downside for me is the fact that that bad boy is nearly impossible to get on without a slick aide. Fortunately, I have the perfect solution! This may come as a surprise, but Wet N’ Wild has the most perfect assortment of matte colors, and their Stoplight Red is the ideal compliment. To create the lip color above, I apply a thin layer of Stoplight Red to both my top and bottom lips, followed up by lining my lips with Ruby Woo and then filling in my bottom lip a slight bit with more of the Ruby Woo. The result is the bold color shown above. Hope this is useful for you guys! Although I don’t wear much makeup, I consider myself a master mixer when it comes to blending lip colors. It’s taken me quite sometime to figure the science behind getting right, but it got it! haha Have a great day!

Tips to Revamp Your Jewelry Collection
Wednesday, October 2, 2013
Whether you’re a jewelry junkie on a budget, like myself, or a sentimental buyer…like myself haha, there’s no denying that there’s a little thrill that comes along with arriving at a register with an armful of jewelry marked jaw droppingly low. Once I get over the high of purchasing piece after piece at crazy low price points, I’m faced with acknowledging a simple truth; most cheap jewelry like the majority of the trendy pieces I find at my favorite stores, are good for maybe 3 runs — at best, before the paint begins to wear off. The disappointment of watching it reach the end of it’s rope is almost as bad as the initial feeling was good. So, I’ve put together this post to share some of the tips I use to increase your piece’s shelf-life and even revive our delicate little loves.
Clear nail polish is a girl’s best friend when it comes to inexpensive jewelry. Following a purchase, I use it coat the posts of earrings and reinforce the inner liner or my rings. When I notice a bit of wear on a piece, I use gold and silver pens like the ones above to touch up spots where copper might be coming through paint and follow up with a light coat of clear polish to seal the paint.
In some cases, it’s nearly impossible for one to catch these easy improvements! It’s just a great way to ease the pain of that haunting edge or corner of copper peaking through. Stay tuned for more tips on how I make the most out of my wardrobe.
